Veteran Voices Collective exists to ensure that veterans are remembered not only for where they served, but for who they were, what they created, and what they want future generations to understand.
Our Mission
We record, preserve, interpret, and share veterans’ firsthand histories and creative works through oral history, archives, music, poetry, spoken word, visual art, exhibits, education, and public programs.
Our Vision
We envision a national culture in which every veteran has a meaningful opportunity to preserve their story; families have guidance for protecting irreplaceable materials; and schools, libraries, museums, archives, and communities can learn from historically responsible veteran-centered collections.

Why Creative Legacy Matters
A song, poem, painting, performance, photograph, or handwritten page can reveal what an official record cannot: memory, emotion, moral injury, humor, grief, friendship, faith, survival, and return. We preserve these works as both creative achievements and primary sources of American history.
